Welcome to Muezart's one-day hands-on workshop, where you learn about the art of natural dyeing, a craft passed down through generations. Join me to experience the magic of extracting vibrant hues from natural ingredients in the picturesque land of Meghalaya.

1. In this workshop, you will learn the traditional techniques of natural dyeing, eco-printing, and Shibori dye and understand the importance of scouring in preparing fabrics or yarns for dyeing. You will explore the role of water and pH in dyeing and learn how to identify pure silk using various techniques.

2. The workshop will also cover the mordanting process, where you will learn how to mordant with plants and minerals for protein fiber and understand how mordants work and how to fix natural colors. You will then move on to the most exciting part of the workshop, where you will learn how to make a dye bath and extract colors from natural dye ingredients.

3. The workshop will also equip you with tips and tricks for each dye and help you avoid common mistakes when dyeing. You will learn about color shift techniques with iron and other modifiers to create a range of palettes.

As a participant in this workshop, you will experience Meghalaya's slow-living culture and savor a delicious local lunch. You will also receive a welcome DIY kit bag to take home with you.

At the end of the day, you will leave the workshop with an unforgettable experience of designing and creating your custom colors and fabrics that you can take home with you. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone interested in learning the art of natural dyeing or for those who want to refine their existing knowledge.
